We built the same CRM twice in the same week. Once from scratch. Once from our ClientHQ template. The time difference was 47 minutes vs. 3.5 days.
The setup
Same prompt to start: “Build me an agency CRM for managing 30 clients with a pipeline view, deal stages, and Stripe invoice tracking.” Same Lovable workspace, same person, fresh project both times.
From scratch
- Day 1: auth, schema, basic shell
- Day 2: pipeline view, drag & drop
- Day 3: client portal + Stripe
- Day 4 morning: seed data, polish
- ≈ 3.5 working days
From ClientHQ

Where the time actually went
From scratch, 70% of the time wasn't feature work — it was rebuilding things we'd built before. Auth flows, Stripe webhooks, table layouts, role checks. From a template, that 70% was already done, and we spent the saved hours on the actual client conversations.
